I am using Engineering Kit Rev2, and I have reached chapter 3.7. I have successfully run the DC motor using the provided characterization code. I am now attempting to use Simulink to run the motor. I have followed the steps for setting up the Arduino firmware and creating the Simulink model closely, yet when I attempt to run the model, I get the error described below:
The following error was encountered during evaluation of the external mode callback 'getExtModeData':
codertarget.arduinobase.internal.getExternalModeMexArgs('Serial')
Failed to detect host COM port of Nano 33 IoT board.
I am unsure of what could be causing this to work improperly. I have noticed that when I configure the model, I attempt to use "Serial" for the communications interface under "External mode" in the "Target hardware resources" menu, yet only "XCP on Serial" appears. Could this be related to the setup of my Arduino when I run ">>arduinosetup"?
