Hi to all !
I bought one SOLE 48V / 5KW offgrid solar inverter. The inverter has build in charger and he can accept max 450V from solar panels. So far so good, but ... Like on other inverters that i have used, charger / controller / breaker was external unit and now all this should be in build and fully functional... To be honest I am a bit skeptic about it so i want to add at least some basic DC ( battery and solar ) protection. So, i would like to build/buy BMS system for my lead acid 48V battery set and am planning to implement DC breaker firstly on the battery-inverter side. I didn't find much accept 300V/16A DC breaker but i dont know if this should be enough. Each battery has 12 / 300A * 4 in series and maximal load on inverter side should not exceed 4KW. Suggestions on some DIY solution for DC protection and for additional BMS system ?
Best regards !
