I am looking for an arduino to get up and running quickly with some smart home projects. Not a huge fan of the ESP32 alone boards and enjoy having those comms offloaded to a dedicated chip along with shield compatibility.
Big issue is my outdoor projects live inside heavy steel Hoffman electrical PLC controls boxes and the PCB antenna isn't going to work--need to use my external antenna penetration.
If I buy some UNO R4 Wifi PCBs and some ESP32-S3-MINI-1U's will I be able to hot-air swap these ESP32's for their counterpart with the u.fl antenna connector? Footprint wise they should be compatible.
