How to setup ST7789V display?

Hi all,
I got a 1.69 inch ST7789V display from:

and I am trying to test it on Arduino or ESP32, I didn't get any code yet, can I just wiring 3.3v and GND and let it light up？ I have trid this way by a Adapter Board 0.5mm To 2.54mm doesn't, why?

or any clue to do basic test?
