I am not familiar with ipto-isolators but based on my reading, they may solve my project problem.
I have a 12v external power supply that I want to drive some kind of switch that connects the ground and input pins of an Uno.
Can a ispto-isolator be used with the 12v closing the other side of the switch.
Something like this diagram
